Learning Objectives: 

  • Learn basic research skills and etiquette 
  • Explore your interest by researching several upcoming technologies in STEAM
  • Differentiate between reliable and opinionated sources
  • Develop skills needed to communicate effectively in writing 
  • Finish the workshop with a published portfolio of your work 

Prerequisite: None! Come excited to learn :)


Meet Your Instructor:

Nitya Kakulamarri (Student at Tesla STEM High School)  

Nitya Kakulamarri is an active member in her community.  She currently holds positions in various organizations and clubs. She is a secretary for Cura Project, a nonprofit organization working towards fundraising and educating the general public about prominent health issues present in our society. Additionally, she is a fellow for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics Lab, where she works to educate the general public about ethical issues in AI, such as data privacy and GPS mapping. Lastly, she is a member of Maker Club, a club that aims to teach STEM content to underrepresented elementary and middle school students. Nitya’s experiences in these organizations have shaped her to become a change-agent within her community. Nitya is eager to serve as a mentor for the students who will attend these programs and is excited to help them grow and excel!
