Mentoring Specifics

In this week long camp, kids will get exposure in block-based programming primarily focused on:

  • conditionals 
  • control structures 
  • variables 

and will complete projects including a rock paper scissors game and pedometer. This course is meant to build interest in computer programming. Students should take this course if they have none, or close to none exposure in computer programming. If your child is already experienced in block-based programming, please refer to the "Basics of Python Using Microbit" course. A laptop will be required for every student. 

Time Duration: 16 total hours (4 hours per day)

Instructor: Ayan Gupta (Senior at Tesla STEM High School) 

Ayan has been teaching this camp for the last 4 years and due to high demand has brought it back. He has a vast variety of experiences in engineering and is proficient in Java. Over the past years, he has won numerous awards for his engineering projects and ideas and is hoping to share some of his knowledge through this camp
