Mentoring Specifics

In this whek long camp, kids will get exposure in python programming and apply skills they have previously learned including conditionals and control structures. Students will get to understand the relationship between block-based programming and how it converts to python syntax and complete more complex projects. This course is meant for students who have prior experience in block-based programming and are comfortable with basic programming structures such as conditionals, variables, etc. If your child does not yet feel comfortable in these areas please refer to the "Intro to Block-Based Programming in MicroBit." A laptop will be required for every student who registers. 

Time Duration: 16 total hours (4 hours per day) 

August 5, 2019 - August 8, 2019 | 1:00PM to 5:00PM daily

Azhan Zaheer  (Junior at Tesla STEM High School) 

Azhan is an incoming Junior at Tesla Stem High School and is very passionate about computer science and engineering. His interest in these subjects has led him to join FRC Team 7461, create games, compete in competitions, etc. Azhan is well versed in the subject of technology and believes that the ability to work with technology is a skill that all students should learn to be prepared for the future. He is familiar with computer languages of Python, C#, and Java. 

Arnav Sacheti (Senior at Tesla STEM High School) 

Programming has been a passion of Arnav's since he was first introduced to robotics in middle school. It started with him getting his cousin's NXT. Surpassed with the opportunity to take robotics at school and gaining experience with VEX. This was also the time at which he was introduced to Arduino, a programmable microcomputer, allowing him to build a mini security hub. Arnav has continued expanding his knowledge and gained experience with numerous robotics challenges.
